The Challenge
Enterprise healthcare customers need visceral proof of AI capabilities, not slide decks. A description of what AI can do is far less compelling than a live demonstration showing it happening in the room. The demo needed to showcase multiple advanced AI modalities reliably under pressure — in live sales meetings where technical glitches mean lost deals and lost credibility. Each capability also required integrating a different third-party AI vendor, each with its own API contract, reliability characteristics, and quirks. The system needed to present these disparate integrations as a cohesive, polished experience that a commercial sales team with no technical background could operate confidently.
Technical Approach
- Azure Speech Cognitive Services: real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech demonstration with live transcript display and voice synthesis
- Voice biomarker detection: integration with specialist vendor AI detecting vocal biomarkers associated with aggression and depression from live audio streams
- rPPG (remote photoplethysmography): contactless vital sign estimation using a standard webcam — measuring heart rate and respiratory signals from subtle facial color changes
- Led all vendor integrations and API contracts — coordinating technical requirements, authentication, and data flows across multiple AI providers
- Built for reliability in live demo conditions with graceful fallbacks and error handling that maintains a professional experience even when an external API has issues
- Deployed as primary sales tool used by commercial teams in customer meetings — designed for non-technical operators with intuitive controls and instant setup
